This problem did not persist after I updated to 220. Thanks.

I don't have a photo service. I can try to set one up over the next couple days. If it matters, when I turn it on they're all at "0."

mcow,

220 is working fine for me--I tested with 2 different bluetooth devices. Are you still having problems?

Or maybe my problem is related to http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11687 ?

I can't tell if this is related or not: with MMW 219, which I installed this morning, I have not had a successful car BT connection, in six trips today. Luckily I had some CDs.
I just now selected Equalizer from the menu and got a screen: Sorry, equalizer is not supported.
This is Galaxy Tab 2 (wifi), Android 4.2.2

I see a new option (not sure how new), Remote Controls, which mentions BT. I had that selected, along with Show Default Android Lock Screen Player.

I don't think so. I don't have any DSP or anything installed. For music, besides MMA, I've got Spotify, the stock player and Play Music. All in all I've kept it pretty stock. Firefox, K9 Mail, Dash Clock, ES File Explorer, Facebook, Lookout, Kindle. I think that's pretty much it.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

It's not just Bluetooth!

Turning on "Use Equalizer" in MMA cuts ALL sound output on a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I hadn't tried listening to music with it using anything other than Bluetooth before! Now I've tried it with headphones and, then, the internal speaker, and in both cases turning on "Use Equalizer" turns off all sound output.

Hi,
Thanks for looking into this.

In Play Music, turning on and off the equalizer does not cut off and on the sound over blue tooth, but I also did not notice any changes in the sound when adjusting the equalization, either (i.e. it kept playing over blue tooth when the equalizer was on, but messing with the settings didn't change the sound).

In "Music," the default player on the Samsung Galaxy S4, turning on the equalizer did not cut off the sound to blue tooth and I did hear noticable differences in the sound while adjusting the different settings. In other words, it worked as expected.

Turning on "Use Equalizer" continues to cut off sound to the blue tooth speaker in MMA.

The debug log is JVP15O9L5R

Thanks again.

Hi,
can you try equalizer in Google Play Music player whether issue also occurs?
After issue occurs in MMA, please send the debug log from MMA (through Options) and note the log number here. I will analyze why this happens. Thanks

I'm unable to replicate this either on a GS3 or Nexus5, but we'll try to test it out on a GS4 as well.

In the course of testing, though, I found that audio playback quality sounds muffled when the equalizer is enabled on the GS3 (it's a device-specific issue):

I can't replicate on build 217. Playback continues over Bluetooth when enabling/disabling the Equalizer in MMA.

Turning On Equalizer Turns Off Bluetooth Audio [#11746]

Hi,

I'm using beta build 1.0.4.0214 on a Samsung Galaxy S4 running Android 4.3.

While streaming to a stand-alone bluetooth speaker (Braven BRV-1), ticking the "Use Equalizer" option cuts off the audio output to the bluetooth speaker. The file continues playing in MMA, but there is no audio sent to the speaker. This happens every time I tick the option. Unticking "Use Equalizer" resumes audio output to the bluetooth speaker.

Let me know if you need more info.

EDIT: FYI - this still occurs in 1.0.4.0217
