I don't remember the names, but it should be quite easy to find them using Google (I hope so).

Do you know what the name of these programs are that can use CDDB to fix ID3 tags for files?

If you have the original CD, it is easy to query CDDB using Songs-DB and then rename grabbed files using multifile renaming feature of Songs-DB. However as I wrote in the last post, if you have just files and want to get information from CDDB, it isn't possible with Songs-DB yet.

what I mean is that before using cddb I had riped cds by myself, and I let the default filename used by cdex (audiatrackXX) and then I used another software to handle with the titles of the song.

can I change the filenames according to cddb fields with songsdb

thanks again

Do you mean to use CDDB for files instead of audio CDs? It isn't currently possible with Songs-DB. As far as I know, there are some applications which do this, but I never tested them and I'm afraid, they are not 100% successful. However it is possible, that this feature will be added to Songs-DB in the future.

hi

congratulation for your software. I've discoverred the cddb functionality when I was using cdex which currently has license troubles.

Just a question is it possible with songs-db to rename files I ripped before using cddb ie files that are just named audiotrackXX, and for which I know the album title

thanks for your answer
