If you scanned files on your PC, they will be like that in the DB. In that case see: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... w_computer

But the filepaths in the Library would still be on my PC, correct?
That's no good since I want to Library to reference files on the NAS.

Yes, you can move the database anywhere you want.

I could move the Library to the NAS as you suggest, but it would still reference files on my PC, correct?

This is not recommended as NAS can have slow access. If you want to do this use: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ticleid=46

Using the MM DB on Synology

by vinnie2k » Sun Apr 06, 2014 8:42 am

Hi,

I have recently switched to a Synology NAS for my media files.
I would like for the music to be on the NAS along with the library file, and MM installed on the PC connecting to the NAS.

Right now, the Music and the library are on my PC.

How do I go from where I am to where I need to be?

Thank you for your help.
