Re: No Album Artwork is being displayed

Hate to resurrect an old thread but I have this problem too. The Denon s700w plays the files fine but won't show the album art, but my wdtv does. I'm using MM 4.1.5.1719 and all the files are tagged correctly. Out of curiosity I tried two other server programs and the album art was displayed on the receiver. Has anyone got MM to show artwork on Denon receivers?

I suggest to capture the playback on Denon from MediaMonkey in a debug log (step 4b) and send the log to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=20&t=69

Lowlander,
I have found C:\Users\Jim Calvert\AppData\Local\Temp\MM_UPnP_Images, and it is Empty.
It has full permissions for Administrators.
Cheers

C:\Users\Jim Calvert\AppData\Local\Temp\MMCache1511288397_1 is used by MediaMonkey itself for the Art views. C:\Users\Jim Calvert\AppData\Local\Temp\UPnP_Cache would be the Artwork send to DLNA clients.

Lowlander,
In my Windows 7, I do find the following folder: C:\Users\Jim Calvert\AppData\Local\Temp\MMCache1511288397_1
It is filled with bmp thumbnails of Album covers.

Now in the DLNA sharing dialogue box, near the label titled Cache Auto Converted Content to
Is the following in the textbox: C:\Users\Jim Calvert\AppData\Local\Temp\Transcoded_Media_Files
Note that the two folder names are not identical, is that a problem?

Second issue, I am running only MediaMonkey.exe in Win 7.
It appears in my DLNA Blueray drive as two things:
MediaMonkey Server
and MediaMonkey Library
Interestingly, both have identical MAC addresses.
That is it. It works great from either the server or the library except no artwork shows up.
BTW, what is the difference?
Does this help?
Cheers

No, MediaMonkey would need the rights to create the UPnP thumbnails. Do you see evidence of them in the Temp folder used by MediaMonkey (UPnP_Cache)? Are you saying you used a DLNA client on the Windows 7 machine to access the MediaMonkey server and Artwork did show as expected?

Lowlander,
I have no other clients. Just Windows 7; the artwork looks fine there.
And my Home theatre where the artwork fails to display but everything else is perfect.

I don't understand how my home theatre would need more permissions or access rights.

I really need much more debugging suggestions.
Thanks

Have you checked if other clients are affected for you? It could be a lack of rights to create the Artworks send to clients in the MediaMonkey Temp folder (for location see Tools > Options > General).

Which version of MediaMonkey are you running? DLNA Artwork displays fine for me on a variety of clients.

I am running MM on Win 7 and the library resides on a QNAP server.

I am streaming the music to my DENON Receiver ( DLNA ) successfully.
The tree structure looks fine.

BUT whenever I play a tune, NO Album artwork shows up on the TV; sounds great however.
Just a group of grey bubbles.
Is that the way it should be or is there a setting I have missed.

On Windows , the Album Artwork looks perfect.

When I use other software similar to MM, the Album shows up fine on my TV.
Please help.
Jim Calvert
