You can browse the stick in MediaMonkey or Windows to see if it has tags.

MP3 playing head unit miss reads ID3 Tags

by Music_Nut » Tue Jul 22, 2014 8:00 pm

Hello,

I recently acquired a new JVC head unit for my car. After installing it I created a USB stick containing my music collection. When syncing the files to the stick I convert-on-the-fly all of my FLAC'd file's and my iTune M4A files to a 256 VBR MP3 file.

The head unit is "supposed" to display "Title/Album/Artist" on the display but it only shows the "Album/Artist".

It there a way that I can verify how the ID3 tag's are being written to the file so that I can rule the files out as the problem.

Thanks,

M
