Twice I sent a debug log with my email from my Sony, but no reply.

As mentioned, with Onkyo Remote + BubbleUPnP it is no problem.

What's wrong?
MMA seems has some problem on handling DLNA renderer, I also have similiar problem on several software renderer.

It does not work!

My Onkyo Receiver is listed in the Renderer Menue, but no Streaming.

I installed 2 FREE Android Apps to test it, both are streaming immediately without any problems from the MMA Library.
Onkyo Remote + BubbleUPnP.

But paid MMA will not work.

It seems close.

Then they're in the MMA Library and you should be able to play (locally and on DLNA client) the files on the SD card.

Great, I will try it. When do you expect next RC or release of MMA?
Because in the past i often had problems with betas.

Sorry, what exactly do you mean? I sync all my music/video/audiobooks at MMW via WIFI with MMA.

If you're on the latest beta you can select a DLNA client to playback to.

Did you add the music files to the MMA Library?

How to stream Music from MMA to AV Receiver?

by frs1966 » Fri Oct 09, 2015 9:02 am

Hi,

I am not an expert in technics, so I hope somebody can help me.

I like to stream Music from my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (Android 5.1.1) with MMA (1.1.2.0419 Pro Version) via WIFI/WLAN to my AVM Fritz!Box 7330 WLAN-Router via Ethernet/LAN to my network Onkyo AV Receiver HT-R990 (no WIFI, no Bluetooth function, only LAN).

In general, is this possible? Mobile device -> WLAN -> Router -> LAN -> Receiver

Due to the volume, all my music is stored at Micro SD-Card, not at internal smartphone store.

MMA UPnP: shows all WIFI-devices, also Sony, but I can reach only internal store, not the SD-Card. The Onkyo Receiver is not listed.
At Router Web User Interface: Sony and Onkyo are listed.
Also I can remote the Sony via Onkyo Remote Control, but this is very uncomfortable.
The Android Onkyo Remote App remotes the receiver, no external devices so far as I tried.

I want it the other way, streaming and controlling via Smartphone.
And I do not want an additional NAS storage.

If there is no chance without an aditional WIFI or Bluetooth receiver?
Chromcast Audio is not yet supportet by MMA.

Thank you for help.-
Frank
