No problems like that with Windows 10 either.

Did you do a full PC search for those files? Maybe a media program is auto-moving them (MediaMonkey can be set to do so too) to a different location.

I have been ripping to FLAC for years with no problem. Recently, Windows 10 installed itself in the guise of an "Update" and I am seeing things I just don't believe. Example: I start ripping an audio disk. I watch a Windows Explorer window while It rips. The Album artist folder and the album title folder appear like always. But... the tracks appear for a while and then disappear. Poof! In the end all I have in the two folders, no FLAC files.
Last night, I noticed Windows Defender has taken up residence without my knowledge. Since I have Bitdefender running, I turned it off. You can't remove it any more. It turned itself back on and silently began deleting files. I liked some of those files!
Is this the same thing? I am trying to avoid unjustified paranoia here, so I thought I'd ask if there is anyone else out there with the same problem. Does MM come for Linux?
