Thanks Lowlander. I had seen the webpage that you pointed me to before but didn't quite follow it.
In the end, before kicking off MM, I just went to the folder C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey (I am running Windows 10).
To be on the safe side, I created a save folder here and moved all the existing files and folders into it.
I then copied the files and folders that I had backed up from my previous installation into C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey.
I ran MM and everything has now been restored.
There was no need to run the script as described.
I guess this was because the music files were still in the original location.

You need the database file MM.DB for your Playlists: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... w_computer

Importing Playlist and Config Files

by BarrowWight » Thu Jan 26, 2017 3:10 pm

Hello. Some time ago as I was about to do a complete Windows re-installation on my PC, I temporarily loaded MM on to a laptop. My music files are stored on a NAS so the laptop installation found the files with no problem. I have now re-installed MM on the original PC and again, the music tracks can be found. The problem is I have lost my Playlists.
I have a folder which I have named ConfigFiles which contains some stuff that I created when I removed MM from the PC and I think that the Playlists may be among these. The files in this folder are CDPlayer.ini, MediaMonkey.ini, mediamonkey.m3u8, milkdrop_config.ini, MM.DB. There are also some empty folders, MetadataCache, Plugins, Scripts, Skins.
Can anyone help me import these config files back into MM and hopefully restore my Playlists?
Thanks in anticuipation.
