Hi all,
Sorry it has taken me forever to get back to you.

I have now set up MM for Windows and am using manual sync (for now) to sync between PC and Android and all is going well.
Playlists are working, Album Art is back, so thanks everyone for the help.

Regards,
Steve

AutoSync is the process of using MediaMonkey to sync the files. Either using sync in MMW when device is USB connected or sync in MMA when using wifi sync: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... oid_device

Rusty,
I don't know what autosync means, however it sounds like it should work, so I will look up how to do it and have a go.

And thanks everyone for the help so far.

I will be back when I've made an attempt.

I did back them up to my PC yesterday, but copying them back into Playlists again simply results in them being deleted again.
Rather than copying the .m3u files, try syncing the playlists (i.e. add the playlists to your autosync list and then perform a Wi-Fi Sync).

Hi all,
i updated and re-scanned and all artwork has returned. However all my playlists (which MMA stored in a \Playlists directory) have been deleted!

Any ideas on that one?
Steve

I can confirm that there are a few fixes related to album art updates in the latest versions of MMW/MMA. Try updating and resyncing, and let us know if that resolves the issue.

Thanks!

License should maintain.

I believe the update does have Artwork fixes, however I'm not sure if a fresh start is required to see these fixes.

Hi,
Sorry, I suppose that info is fairly fundamental...
Android : 4.4.2
MediaMonkey : 1.2.0.0624 Pro License.

I have removed the external drive, plugged it into my PC and run Scandisc and all is fine. I have checked some random albums and all tags are present and correct, including the album art.

I have noticed there is an update to MMA. If I update will I have to buy the Pro license again, or will it transfer across?

I will be most grateful for any help.
Steve

P.S. As an aside but probably of no significance, I have noticed that there is a directory (\Android\data\com.android.providers.media\albumthumbs) that has been created, presumably by the Android system, which contains 793 files. They do not have the .jpg extension, but they do appear to be copies of every album's albumart tag.

Album Art Disappeared After Adding Music

Hello,
I currently use MMA Pro on an Android TV Box, which is connected to an external hard drive (for the music), a TV and a digital hi-fi receiver (via optical SPDIF cable). The external drive has a directory 'Music' which is set as the only location for MMA to search for files. I have ensured that every track has tags for track number, title, album, artist, album artist, date, genre and album art. There are currently around 500 albums.

MMA has, up until a couple of days ago, worked perfectly. All music plays flawlessly, and all tags, including cover art was displayed properly.

Then I added 15 more albums by copying them from my PC to a USB flash drive, plugging it into the TV Box, shutting down MM3, copying the files to the hard drive 'Music' directory, starting MMA then selecting options/check for new/changed media.

I left it searching. When I came back all the album art (with perhaps 10 exceptions) had gone.

All the other tags are still correctly displayed, but no art!

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Steve
