Hi all

I've just worked out that if MM rips a track in WMA lossless, 44100hz, 16 bits, it can then play the ripped track, but if it does the same using 24 bits, it can't play the track it created (even though other media players can play it).
Hope that helps you home in on the problem.

Nick

Hi,
Confirmed non playing file in MMW/MM5 and few others.

Added as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=15711

NOTE: I can also confirm that they are playable in WMP (No Codec Specifics except 852kbps rate) and VLC (44.1khz/32Bit/852kbps) where other apps MMW included show 44.1/24/852 and fail to play/decode.

Hello Pavle

The files play ok in Windows Media Player too.
I am using MediaMonkey 4.1.24.1883, Gold licence, by the way.
I sent you a PM.

Thanks

Nick

Hi,
Can you try any other Player (eg WMP) except VLC (it uses own Codecs not system one) to see if files are playable?

If not can you please send me PM with Download link to one of the files so that I can analyze it?

Hi all

The last few cds I have purchased and ripped using WMA lossless aren't playing properly. All I hear is a lot of clicking. The rip went ok, because other players (eg VLC) on the same machines can play them ok. The problem occurs on 2 separate Windows 10 computers (both reading the same file, stored on a NAS drive). Mediamonkey has no problem playing the hundreds of previously ripped CDs on the drive, and MediaMonkey can also convert the problem files to mp3s which it can then play ok, so it must be just a problem with the playback itself. Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Nick
