Hi,
It would be hard to maintain as only ID3v2.x supports it see comparison chart https://matroska.org/technical/specs/ta ... table.html for ID3v2.3.0 PCNT tag.

Feature Request - Store play count http://id3.org/id3v2.3.0#Play_counter within mp3 tag instead of MM.DB

It was clear when my MM.DB got corrupted and I had to start with a fresh database that the play count was never embedded within the mp3 tag because all that data was gone.
