Thanks Ludek, I understand now. The Grid View is of the sub Playlists not the content of an individual playlist.
I mainly use playlists as an alternative to a Collection. So I am grouping albums that belong in a series into an autoplaylist & because i am including all the tracks on the albums it would be convenient if the albums in the playlist were presented in a Grid view.

Are you sure that you enabled "Playlist grid" and that the playlist in question really has sub-playlists?

Ok, now i don't have any sub - playlists so i created one, applied the 'grid view' and -- still no grid view?? It just stays on Album & tracks

"Playlist grid" shows sub-playlists of the given auto-playlist in a grid (so none in this case).

But I agree that the wording is not clear enough, to be improved.

Yes - " Playlist Grid" same as your example. But there is no grid displayed ??

Which 'Grid view' are you referring?
