When I mentioned scrolling to the currently playing track, I was expecting this to happen in the list view itself.

However, my apologies. I didn't know this functionality was included in the Playing panel. I've never used this panel before - and was unaware it could do this - but I'll enable it from now on. Thanks for helping me discover this (especially as it's perfect for widescreen monitors like mine).

As this is included in the Playing panel, then I guess it's unnecessary to replicate this feature again in List view.

For me it works fine and scrolls automatically.

I tested this way:
- played a track by double-click in the Playing panel on the right
- scrolled in the Playing panel so that the highlighted playing track is out of the view
- pressed Next button on the player to play next track
=> Playing panel auto-scrolls to the playing (highlighted) track

What are your steps?

(Edited for clarity) - Thanks for the great tip. However, I'd ideally like MM5 to do this automatically, without the need for a keyboard shortcut.

There could be a setting in MediaMonkey options to toggle this on or off. My preference would also for this to be isolated to List view, on the Now Playing node.

Hi there Paul,

you could set a hotkey to "focus tracklist on currently playing item". Available under Options/General/Hotkeys. If this is what you are looking for.

Hi, I've noticed that when there are track changes in list view (in the Now Playing node), the view doesn't scroll to the currently playing track.

I've seen this option called "Scroll to current track" in Cantata, a music player for Linux.

Would it be possible to add this to MM5, or have this as an option in settings?
