Thanks for info Peke. That was helpful.

I wasn't trying to use the micro-player. I don't ever use MM to play music.
I turned the micro-player on once, when I was investigating MM5 support for a stop (playing) button. I was just trying to check whether the micro-player implemented a stop button. ... I didn't get very far because I didn't understand the enabling procedure, and I abandoned looking further because it was tangential to what i was trying to do.

Since then I have been bugged, on occasions, by the dbox I mentioned.

The bug am reporting just relates to the crashes, which occurred when I tried follow the instructions to enable the microplayer to update my taskbar.. Hopefully Ludek can see what is happening when he looks at the debug log and my json file.

Hi,
Please note that Normal MM install registers Toolbar player on installation and it was like that for years. It is not enable by default but it is registered.

I am not able to replicate MM5 not starting and crashes, but I was able to replicate prompt on each MM5 start by doing these steps:

1. Set MM5 options to:
Imagen

2. On Mm startup Icon Enabled to be started Minimized

3. Disabled MediaMonkey Toolbar player

4. Closed MM5

5. Restart MM5

I was being bugged with this message each time I opened MM5.

I didn't want to use your Toolbar Player, but I did what the dbox asked anyway, because I wanted to shut up the annoying recurrent dbox.

I then got these two crashes.

Then I could not restart MM5 .... I created a debug log, and PM'd it to Ludek.

I could not restart MM5 until I deleted the persistent json file ... the damaged copy is in the zip that I sent to Ludek.
