Hi, gang.
Here are some problems I'm seeing. Other than the first one, I think I noticed them all in the previous release, as well:
- 1. I can't customize the columns for Album By View. Once I close the window for customizing, the window refreshes with the same columns as I had to start.
2. When I open MM5, I typically have several tabs up from when I last closed it. I can't drag and drop onto tabs that opened with MM5 but haven't been clicked on since.
3. When MM5 crashes, I get a window prompting me to restart the program. I always click on restart, but MM5 never closes or restarts.
4. Setting an AutoPlaylist to sort by random keeps returning the same list of tracks, even after refreshing.
5. When I'm watching a video in full-screen, MM5 lets the monitor time out and turn off, lock, hibernate, etc.
Some other things that may be glitches, or may just be features that didn't make it over from MM4:
- 6. In Details/List view, if I had a track selected and then sorted by Title or Album or whatever, my track stayed selected. Now I lose my selection whenever I resort.
7. As mentioned before, in ArtByAlbum view, I used to be able to click an album cover and then use the up and down arrows to navigate from one album to the next. Now the arrows just move from one track to the next.
8. Similarly, we could click on an album cover and drag it to a playlist to move all the songs in the album. Trying D&D with an album cover no longer does anything.
9. In most Windows programs, selecting Shift+Home or Shift+End will select everything from the current selection to the beginning or end of the list. Now it just jumps to the beginning or end, as though I wasn't holding Shift.
10. I used to be able to select a group of files and drag them into other programs (usually MB Picard). Now I can't drag and drop anywhere.
11. There used to be an option to mark a track played after whatever amount of time. I don't think it's anywhere in the new version.
12. Any tab I ever opened used to have the info bar at the bottom saying how many tracks are in the playlist. That bar doesn't show up in Now Playing anymore.
13. We used to be able to use keyboard shortcuts in a lot of places where they don't show up anymore. The main ones I notce are in the File Properties window (Alt+T for artwork, Alt+L for Lyrics) and in the context menus
14. When drag-and-dropping a group of files to a new playlist, we used to be able to hover over a parent playlist to expand it and reveal its children. Hovering no longer does anything.
15. We used to be able to use the normal Windows keyboard shortcuts to maximize (Alt, Space, X) and minimize (Alt, Space, N) the window. They don't work anymore.
Of course, I'd love to see any of these implemented for MM5.
