They seem to be gearing for MM5 to be released sometime in the near future (since they've been recently talking about it being almost ready for release).
As Lowlander said they probably won't give you a release date, but I wouldn't be surprised if the first version comes out within the next few months. Personally, MM5 is stable and usable enough for me to be a complete replacement for MM4. It's gone a long way even in the past 4-5 months that I've been using it, when it comes to bug fixes.
Also, if there are any features that are still missing, and if they haven't been mentioned yet on the MM5 beta testing forum (
