I can replicate the sudden-track-end problem. Tracked as https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17288

I don't quite know why/how the Spotify addon was grayed out until you installed the Codec pack, however. I don't have the codec pack installed but it worked for me (aside from the aforementioned playback problem).

I don't believe this is known. Could you send a debug log? See item 4b here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643
If you don't have a debug build installed, you'll need to switch it to debug build. It's safe to overwrite a non-debug installation with the debug installer.

MM5 and Spotify [#17288]

Hi,

Just been experimenting with MM5 and trying to connect and use it with my Spotify Premium account. To begin with I noticed the Spotify add-on was greyed out and I couldn't find it add-on list. I discovered that if I installed the MM5 Codec add-on I could then access the Spotify add-on. I activiated the Spotify add-on, authorised my Spotify acccount, and synced my library successfully. All looked good but when I came to playback Spotify I encountered problems. Playback started successfully but after a short time (about 20 seconds) playback jumped to the next track. Playback then continued and, again, after a short time playback jumped to the next track without completing the current track. Is this a known problem? Is there some setting I need to make to allow Spotify playback using MM5 to work properly? Many thanks.
