I tested move and copy operations using Folder node ... there are many problems.
- I had three crashes ... your bug submission server is down again (?) ... I will send the .el files to Ludek
- the Location node appears to get corrupted by move operations
- drag and drop operations can mess up your folder structure like this
- MM5 is reacting, sometimes destructively, to keystrokes entered into nonrelated windows (ie. other applications)
- Crashes
- seemed to be random crashes while using Folders node ... one time happened as soon as started MM5 and I opened the Folders node ... other times I was just navigating within the node
- will send some .el files to Ludek ... also some debug logs & mp4 files
- Folder structure messed up
- looks like if you start to do a drag operation, but see that something is wrong (eg. not selected all intended files, or are doing a move instead of a copy, etc) ... so you do not complete the drop ==> MM5 goes into a recursive rampage, and messes up the folder structure as illustrated above
- will send mp4 & debug log to Ludek
- Location node corrupted by cut and paste
- after moving a folder, the EntireLibrary>Location node is corrupted ... missing folder
- is hard to be sure with all the frustration and confusion caused by all the crashes and folder structure corruption, but it may happen when using cut & paste, ... ie. not drag and drop ... the files get moved, but they are not in their correction location when viewed from EntireLibrary>Location
- sending mp4 file to Ludek
- Unable to select multiple folders for drag and drop
- select multiple folders using the tick on top right corner ... drag and drop ==> the drop cursor says that it has multiple objects, but only the folder that was under the cursor at the start of the drag is moved
- I thought that was a really disappointing WAD ... but it would not make much sense, and the drop cursor indicates that you intended this to work as expected
- mp4 and logs sent to Ludek
- phantom destructive operations
- today I have observed three instances where MM5 has reacted to key strokes when it it is not the active application ... right now MM5 is on one screen, while I am entering this report on my 2nd screen ... MM5 is responding to keystrokes I make here, ie backspace and the delete key ... sometimes destructively, .. this deletion just popped up in MM5, responding to something I did here.
- yesterday I clicked on something in the MM4 Folder panel, and it spontaneously started a move operation ?! ... have not been able to replicate or capture that, but I am sure that it happened ... I had just (re)started MM5
- sending a mp4 and bebug log file showing MM5 and Chrome browser sitting side-by-side, where MM5 is reacting to keystrokes in the Chrome browser window
