if i convert flac to 0 ratio compression it sounds like a 20 € phone, 8 is the max quality compression for flac, in dbpoweramp there is a scale between 0 to 8 and also UNCOMPRESSED... flac can be loss if u compress between 0 - 8, but UNCOMPRESSED is really just file format convert exactly as wav & aiff.
try dbpoweramp, convert to flac "uncompressed".
