It may work without "Locking".
When organizing the library, it could be an solution, if the "Find more from" context opens a new view generally (or configurable).
I can close this new view after some changes and I'm back to the "locked" view to select the next problematic track.

EDIT: Sorry Rob_S, you already wrote it... I should read more precisely.

I wonder about these items of functionality in the request:
3) Clicking on a different node when a tab is locked will open a toast message, saying "This tab is locked. Right-click on the tab to unlock it."
Would it not be simpler when I select a different node while in a locked tab, the newly selected node or new search simply opens in a new unlocked tab to the right of any existing tabs?

I can then go back to my locked tab at will? Any current selection in the locked tab should stay active.

Also, this would eliminate the need to grey out other nodes
5[?]) When a tab is locked, all other items in the media tree become:
5a) disabled (grayed out)
5b) not hoverable (this will require a tweak to the skins, I believe)

I would like to bring out my wish request again. Don't forget it :)
I'm in no hurry, but the function would help me.

Thank you,
I think that no user needs the same pin twice. All the points are well worded. I am happy if it is adopted.

When you have a chance, give the list of requirements a read and see if it's what you're looking for.
Edit: Also please give your opinion on item 7). I'm not sure whether people will want to use two locked tabs with the same node.

Yes, that's how I imagine it. That's a good idea.

Considering your description of the tab having its node locked, such that if you click another node in the tree it won't change, I think that a more apt name for the function would be "Lock Tab".

I imagine that locked tabs would have the close button disabled, and if you click on another node in the tree, it'll show a toast message saying "This tab is locked. Right-click on the tab to unlock it."

Thank you for your interest.

I want to pin 2-4 tabs like in the Chrome browser. Let's say I pin a tab with "duplicate titles". Then it shouldn't change if I select something else in the archive tree. The tab should only show "duplicate titles". There can be a second tab with a different function.

a) Open new TAB and its last position
b) Open In current TAB No, when I select an entry in the archive tree, I want to pin it to the top because I use it a lot.
c) Have it configurable Pin click Behavior? That's a good idea

The tabs do not have to be next to each other, because then there may be insufficient space. A hinged pin with multiple pins in it is also good. This leaves space in the tab bar.

Sorry for the translation from German to English

Hi,
Hmmm, interesting. We were thinking what to do next to improve Pinning. Wonder are you saying that you would like to pin Tab and what the desired behavior would be when you click on pin:
a) Open new TAB and its last position
b) Open In current TAB
c) Have it configurable Pin click Behavior?

I often use "Duplicate Files", "Genre", etc. Why can't I pin these tabs? This saves you a lot of clicks and you don't have to dig through the archive tree every time.
