If you click the three dot menu (
here), and take option Show All Sub-Nodes the left hand panel will be more familiar to you.
You should also try the Column Browser .. it is better for filtering than using the left hand panel IMO
- it takes up less space from the columns, because it runs horizontally ... I have the left panel permanently closed
- you can configure it however you like ... I have it configured to Genre>AlbumArtist>Album, but any combination and columns can be used.
- turn it on via View>MainPanelView>ColumnFilter
