I believe I'm having the same issue on a pixel 6 pro.
Noticed it while paired with pixel buds pro while out for a walk, became irritating grabbing my phone out of my pocket every few minutes to skip to next song.

I had the same problem. Android 12 on a Pixel 6.
Songs would stop playing after 1 or 2 songs. The user interface still shows the song is "playing" but there is no sound untill you restart a song manually.

Changing the Audio Transitions to "None" indeed fixed this problem for me.

Have a pixel 6, on Android 12. App will not advance to the next song after it has finished the previous song. Now Playing queue settings are to repeat all and shuffle.
