I have been using both MMW and MMA quite intensively for the last few weeks and overall things are working well. I have looked at the Forum / Mantis and the following does not seem to have been discussed.
This is a request for the Lyrics searching of Media Monkey Android version 2.0.0.1061 (MMA2) to be tweaked. Specifically, MMA2 does not seem to handle special characters in Artist names and Titles as well as MMW 5.0.4.5690 on the PC. The following example explains.

Consider the following 12 track album:
Album Artist: Simon & Garfunkel
Artist: Simon & Garfunkel
Album: Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme
Title 1: Scarborough Fair / Canticle
Title 2: Patterns
Title 3: Cloudy
Title 4: Homeward Bound
Title 5: The Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine
Title 6: The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)
Title 7: The Dangling Conversation
Title 8: Flowers Never Bend with the Rainfall
Title 9: A Simple Desultory Philippic
Title 10: For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her
Title 11: A Poem on the Underground Wall
Title 12: 7 O'clock News / Silent Night
In the case of MMW, lyrics are found quickly for each of the 12 tracks.
In the case of MMA, no lyrics were found. If we manually change the search in MMA from “Simon & Garfunkel” to “Simon and Garfunkel”, 9 of the 12 track lyrics are found. Manually changing the title to be less ambiguous resulted in a further 2 track lyrics to be found. For example, “Scarborough Fair” rather than “Scarborough Fair / Canticle”.
If MMA2 could be tweaked as it seems to prefer “and” to “&” in the likes of:
Lionel Richie & the Commodores
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Smokey Robinson & the Miracles
Daryl Hall & John Oates
Gladys Knight & The Pips
Perhaps there might be other "problem" characters in Artist names and Titles when MMA is searching for lyrics? Or would it be easier / better to handle this by globally editing in MMW?
