I recently spun up an Unraid NAS, and wanted to locate my MediaMonkey 2024 database and files on that NAS. I followed the directions at https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/knowledge-base/mediamonkey-install-config/mediamonkey-in-a-shared-networked-environment/ so I could share the database with several clients on my home network (huge Spouse Approval Factor).

However, in the course of locating the MM database on the NAS, I ran into a problem. I had previously set up MM with the numerical IP location (192.168.1.xxx) of the NAS, and one of the clients wouldn't recognize the numerical IP but all recognized the UNC (ex: WALKERNAS). So I changed the location to the UNC, re-scanned, and removed the numerical IP pointers from the database (ensuring plenty of backups to the database for recovery). Then I discovered the rub - All of the 100+ playlists I had contained the location of the numerical IP in them, not the UNC. I couldn't find any way to update the playlist locations.

After searching, I found Zvezdan's "Update Location of Files 3.0" utility. I paid the small fee and received the utility immediately. At first it didn't work in my setup - this was totally due to my somewhat complicated setup, my 100K music files, and likely the nature of the Unraid FUSE filesystem.

Zvezdan was amazing. He and I had multiple exchanges every day for about a week, and he made several modifications in his utility to improve how it works. Ultimately it solved my problem perfectly. I recommend Zvezdan and this utility very highly. He went above and beyond in the rapidity of his responses, and in the work he did to make me successful.

and it works perfectly and is worth every euro. :D

I didn't receive any e--mail notification by Forum about the previous posts. Anyway, I am glad that you finally got the add-on working.

It's done. I simply overlooked the password and my unzip program managed to create a file with no IN content, which I could even access via the addon management. Sorry for the trouble. Mea culpa.

I found the error: The file is 0 KB of it's size.
The reason is probably that the zip file is protected with a password that I don't know. Also I have already written this yesterday by email.
But please no more effort. I will not use the add-on, because it takes me meanwhile much too much time.
It is not worth it for me.

Thanks again for your donation. First of all, you sent me an e-mail using my Gmail address, even after I told you not to use it because I am not checking it often. Secondly, you should have post in the add-on's Forum thread because in that case I would get an e-mail notification about it on my Yahoo address.

Unfortunately, I don't know why you are getting this error. The add-on is installing normally for me, and none user reported such problem so far.

Could you please post the screenshot of that error message? Did you unpack the mmip file without any problem with antivirus software or similar?

I donated an amount for the AddOn and fortunately also got the AddOn sent super fast.

But if I try to add the AddOn in MM5, I always get the error message "Invalid Addon! Stream Read Error" when I point to the file "UpdateLocationOfFiles-3.0.0.60.mmip" via MM5.
Does anyone here on the forum know any advice?

I have also written to the developer, but he has not yet responded. Therefore the way over the forum.

I was only running the free version of Magic Nodes with MM4.
That's a good tip re MM4 and the MM5 licence.
My only need atm is to workaround MM's brain-dead support for the Custom tags, where there are no arithmetic operators available for them, when they are used in criteria clauses (eg. Custom01 < 5)

I thought that I saw a green shoot of hope in Zvevdan' signature, but no. :(

Yes, you are right. I had these green numbers indicating the enhanced versions long before MM5. I didn't edit the signature in a while, but I should do it to mention the new MM5 versions.

Magic Nodes is on version 4.3.3 for free 5.2.0.239 for "donatees" and version 6.0.0.15 is out for evaluation / feedback. For each "higher" version, there is more functionality.

RegExpReplace is respectively 4.4.9 / 5.2.280 / 6.0.030

ExportM3UsForSubNodes is 4.1.1 / 5.4.1.182 / 6.0.0.6

Since your MMW5 license allows you to run MMW4 and you can either share (or clone) a library of media files, you can effectively use the current MMW4 versions of the add-ons to assist with your MMW5 library!

Personally, I prefer to have a clone of my (D:\ drive) MMW4 media library for MMW5 (on my E:\ drive).

You are right, thank you!

I am using Dark Background and Light Text add-on for Firefox and these two Edit and Delete icons are not visible with it.

I just tested both issues with a dummy account. You should be able to edit the description of your addons; it will simply require re-approval from a moderator. Additionally, clicking the red - symbol will allow you to delete addons you own. PM me if you're still having issues.
