@Lowlander Thank you for responding. I figured out it was the burner itself that I purchased on ebay was at fault. When I tried a different external drive mm worked as it should - flawlessly.

And a clean burnable disc is inserted? Can other software burn to it? Which Build (Help > About) of MediaMonkey and Windows are you using?

My car is a thousand years old and only has a cd player. My computer is new and requires an external burner. When I go to burn an audio disk mm sees the external drive but says no disk is inserted.
