That's exactly the menu entry I use.
(MM starts after the selection, but it plays the previous track in the Playing list).
Downgrade to .2806: MM works fine.

just testing with 2814 and I can't replicate.

Tested also on Win11, just a note that 'MediaMonkey 5' needs to be set as the default app for the particular file type for the 'Play in MediaMonkey 5' context menu to appear.

Then right-clicked a file in Windows Explorer, selected 'Play in MediaMonkey 5' and just that file has been played as expected..

Could you please downalod and install 2814 debug: https://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/MediaMonkey_5.1.0.2814_Debug.exe

Trying this, MM starts, but the selected .mp3 is not in the Playing list.
Instead the last played track (if there is one) of the Mediamonkey.m3u8 is played.
