You're disabling it as a Sync device in MediaMonkey, not the device itself in Windows.

I'm executing MM from that USB drive. The drive is also where the the music library resides. Disabling it is probably not a good idea. :)

It shows because the USB drive is a syncable location. It's just informational though. Have you tried disabling (from 3-dot menu) the USB drive under Devices & Services in MediaMonkey?

Odd popup after initialization

After installing MMW 2024 portable on my I copied the installation to a USB flash drive. When I start MM from the flash drive I get an odd popup 5-7 seconds after MM initializes and populates its main display:

The popup disappears after a few seconds and MM works fine. Clicking the "Configure" button take me to "Devices & Services" and apparently wants me to "sync" with something. The flash drive contains the MM installation and the music library referenced by MM. Any and all "sync" activity is performed outside of MM with some Robocopy scripts.

Is there some MM activity I actually need to perform to keep this popup from popping up?
