Apparently there are problems with this under certain circumstances, does it's disabled.

My issue is substantially the same as the problem you linked to, but I note that the solution there is to deny play relocation when stopped under all circumstances, the exact inverse of what I was hoping for.

Relocating the play pointer when stopped is highly useful - it enables graceful management of tracks with difficult starts, without having to mute the volume, starting play, relocating the cursor, stopping play and then unmuting the volume before starting play again - six actions instead of two. Why would it not be possible to make this work?

Hi,

I've come across some play behaviour that may not be intended, and for me is a major inconvenience. I play songs from a [i]static playlist[/i] by loading them into the [i]Playing pane[/i], and I will frequently have one song automatically stop before playing the next by using the[i] Stop After Current[/i] control.

I will then sometimes want to start the next track some way in from the start (eg avoid speaking, audience or intro music) and so for the next song (not yet playing) I will relocate the [i]playing pointer[/i] some distance along the [i]wave bar,[/i] for example 1 min, before clicking on the [i]Play [/i]control.

What I would like to have happen is that the play commences from where I had relocated the [i]play indicator[/i] to.

What happens instead is that when [b]I press the [i][b]Play [/b][/i]button the [i][b]play indicator[/b][/i] resets to the start of the song and plays all that stuff that I was trying to avoid[/b]. I can of course then stop the play, again relocate the pointer and start play again, but it doesn't seem to me that this should be the intended behaviour.

The update I would like to see is for [b]play to commence at the current position of the play pointer, not necessarily the start of the file[/b].
