I've read the past forum threads on this, and I'd like to clear up some old arguments and perspectives by stating what this is not.
Radio Broadcasts are not Music. They do not require albums, or artists, or musical genres. They do not have tempo, disc numbers, or track numbers.
Radio Broadcasts are not Podcasts. They do not originate from someone's website, they aren't tied to a streaming platform.
Radio Broadcasts might be Little Orphan Annie broadcasts from the 1940s. Those have a primary broadcaster, possibly an episode, certainly a date and time, and can be linked to performers. Jean Shepherd broadcasts on WOR-NY in the 1960s also come to mind. He might have played music but it conforms to none of the usual music tags.
Radio / Radio Broadcasts need their own attributes to properly categorize what has been saved or recovered to whatever audio file we happen to have.
They must have a show title, a broadcaster, a broadcast date, and optionally a show episode title. Additionally, a featured performer or list of performers should be relatable.
Radio is not music. Radio is not a podcast. Radio most closely relates to TV, so if TV could be copied as a baseline and then edited to suit, we would have this type fulfilled.
All right, open to questions, thanks for reading.
