When you delete media, it is deleted in the database only, real files on your drive are not affected. This action cannot be undone, but there is probably a little need for it.
When you want to delete a real file(s), you must select song(s) and confirm both removal from the database and from your drive. Currently files are really deleted, but they will be deleted to Recycle Bin (by option) in the future.
Anyway, it is not bad idea to backup the database from time to time, because anything can happen (computer failure, ...).
