A few more technical details

by bgodar » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:55 am

I'm using MM ver. 2.5.5.998 on a system running Windows XP SP2. In addition, I have installed mmPodcasts.

I have a subscription to Yahoo! Music Unlimited, so some of my music is DRM protected.

The exact error message I get reads:

"MediaMonkey Audio Library has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the info you were working on might be lost."

Thanks again for any help to remedy this recurring problem.

Recurring Audio Library Crash

by bgodar » Sun Jun 24, 2007 5:47 pm

I used MediaMonkey for several days and loved it, but upon opening it one day I got a message saying there was an audio library error and the program must close. Subsequent opening of the program led to the same error, almost immediately after opening.

Following a suggestion from this forum, I renamed the MediaMonkey.MDB file. I no longer got the error message, re-scanned my library and used the program successfully for about three days. Now I'm getting the same message again.

Is there any way to avoid this problem permanently? I love the program, but renaming and rescanning my library every few days is too much work to be worth it.

Thanks for any help.
