Is there a way to configure the Media Tree search so that it only matches nodes that start with the text you type, rather than matching anywhere in the node name?

I’d appreciate any guidance or tips on how to adjust the search functionality to behave this way.

fyi, re. all the various requests that have been coming in: please don't take the lack of a response as a dismissal of your feedback. It's just that we're focused on getting MMW 2024 released. We _will_ be reviewing all feedback notes with a 'heart' post-released.

Consider this being a feature request then.

I would find the behaviour I suggested more intuitive, because it would work like typing in the Windows file explorer.
Finding phrases in the middle of a node name is rather a search behaviour.
If I wanted to search for artists or other tags that include "white" anywhere in their name, I would rather use the actual search.
And if I want to jump to an artist node that begins with "white", I'd type "white" in the media tree.

I also get it that it that the current behaviour can be useful, e.g. typing "Dylan" jumps to Bob Dylan. But I would rather type Bob to jump to Bob Dylan and have the chance to jump to Whitesnake as well without detours.

There are no options for this feature.

the title pretty much covers my question. I am looking for a way to make typing in the media tree search only the beginning of any node. It used to be like this in MM4.

Example: I want to jump to the artist node "Whitesnake" and type "White" in the media tree.
However, the selection jumps to Barry White first instead of Whitesnake.

Is there an option to change this behavior and make MM5 ignore nodes where the search phrase appears somewhere in the middle of the name?
I could not find an option to change the behavior. But maybe I am missing something.
