How I got Stereo Tool Stand Alone to work with MM2024.
I am Lifetime Gold MM user since whenever, version 2 point something? And I found Stereo Tool very valuable to my music enjoyment. A must have for me.
I have a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit PC that I built . I have Realtek HD Audio Manager on MSI motherboard (H110M Gaming (MS-7994)) and an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.01 GHz processor.
I do not have a plug or wiring connection for my music output on my PC. My music is cast via WiFi (much of the house) to Audioengine BFi converters (AE) attached to stereo equipment and bluetooth receivers (Bose Rock Block bathroom speaker or Sony WH-1000XM2 headphones ).
So to listen to music I must cast it, but I do not use MM2024 to do the casting, because I want to listen to my music through Stereo Tool , and MM2024 would cast my music via WiFi straight to the AE WiFi receivers omitting Stereo Tool.
I have a unique setup to enjoy my music, and I did not find an easy solution online.
(I am not concerned about the lag between bluetooth and Wifi, but if you know of a solution, please speak up.)
(Also if you can suggest a fix between WiFi lag and video please speak up)
In MM2024, I use MM DirectSound output using my Primary Sound Driver (see below).
I have VoiceMeter (VM) v1.0.88 installed and it is my default Playback and Recording device (my Primary Sound Driver). Virtual Cables are installed (VB-Cable A+B, and Virtual Audio Cable). I may be wrong but have found I need both.
VM setup: Vitrual Input VB-Audio Voicemeeter VAIO (default, and I do not think it can be changed on my system).
VM 'Hardware' Out: A1 Out Kernel Streaming (KS) to Bluetooth devices I use; For A2 Out KS to VB-Audio Cable A.
I use Stereo Tool Stand Alone (STSA) v 9.92 (Will probably upgrade to the latest version soon)
STSA Sound Card Setup
Input: Cable A Output (VB-Audio Cable A KS 32-192 KHz)
Normal Output: Line 1 (VAC) (WASAPI 48 KHz)
I use TuneBlade 1.8.0.0 for casting to the AE converters. For TuneBlade Audio Capture, I use Specific Endpoint "Line 1 (VAC)." and I use the first one in the pull down list (I see two Line 1 (VAC) selections in my list).
I still have my issues with MM2024, but with Stereo Tool 'back in the flow', I have one less to be concerned about.
