As the only person in the car, I'd really prefer one playlist if it's possible (which at the very least it was in Itunes, hence why I'm looking for a way to replicate it here). I really don't want to be messing about changing playlists when I should be concentrating on driving.

Why all the combining of playlists? Couldn't you just sync one playlist that has your podcasts and another playlist with music tracks so that they don't get mixed?

Having a little trouble with smart playlist

Having a little problem with my "travel" smart playlists that I use in the car, I tend to use my long commute as an excuse to get some podcasts out of the way and then after the podcast is gone listen to music.

What I've done is, I've created 2 smart playlists, one to select the oldest unplayed Podcast and a second one that picks a handful of music tracks from other playlists (a combination of unplayed and favorites).

I combined these 2 smart playlists into the one playlist I sync to my Ipod but the problem is that unless I sort them by length descending the podcast can appear in the middle of said playlist. Even with sorting by length it doesn't quite work as want, some of the favorite tracks are rather long therefore they'll always appear directly below as soon as the 5 days is up and they're available for selection again. Is there anything I'm overlooking where I can ensure the podcast is at the top of the list but keep some degree of randomness? I did try just upping the number of tracks, putting the ipod of shuffle and going down that route, but because some of the podcasts aren't obviously named it didn't work that well. Any ideas?

I'm using MediaMonkey 3 Gold BTW.

TIA
