This splitting up general occurs when tracks are on a compilation album or have featured artists. To correct this select all the tracks on an album and edit the Track Properties. Change the Album Artist field for all tracks to the same value. For compilation albums this will general be a value like Various Artists, VA or Various and for albums with featured artists it will normally be the albums artist.
You can use the Library > Files to Edit > Multi-Artist Albums node to identify any albums that might be split up. Just edit the Album Artist field of those tracks to the same value and the tracks should be joined to the album.

when i rip an cd album to the libary, the album title goes in but the songs, tracks, are not in the album, the indivual tracks go in but all through the libary not in the album.
