That is what I meant. It would be a great addition to MM as part of MP3 management.

We'll see when it gets added!

btw, we have thought about some basic functionality along the following lines that would help for those using Portable Players, however, it's not a high priority for now:

This a dialog, which user could open using 'Advanced' button on
Conversion dialog):

[x] Remove first ___ seconds of tracks
[x] Remove last ___ seconds of tracks
[x] Remove silence at beginning of tracks
[x] Remove silence at end of tracks

[x] Join tracks
[x] Add ___ seconds of silence between tracks

[x] Split tracks
(v) Split on silence longer than ___ seconds
[x] Make tracks at least ___ seconds long
( ) Split each ___ minutes
[x] Find the best split point in the surrounding ___ seconds
[x] Include ___ seconds in both splitted parts

[x] Add converted tracks to the library

Okay, that's cool. Would have been nice, but there are plenty of tools out there for us.

The extent to which we're likely to support this any time soon is the Previews feature available in the gold version. It allows you to generate an x second snapshot of a track (but not to edit it).

It would be cool if you could cut of the beginning or the end of a MP3 or you can cut a multi-song MP3 in several different MP3's.
