MMA doesn't tag files (yet) and instead relies on sync to MMW to get actual file tagging.

Tagging is not supported by the wav standard. Some programs like Foobar have implemented their own methods of tagging but it's non standard and won't show in all players.

You might be better off converting your files to flac which is lossless so you get the same quality as wav, and it has excellent tagging support.
