My Sony DN1080 receiver does Not give any format information when it plays Chromecasted songs when using free MediaMonkey Android. In contrast, the DN1080 playing a song from the Home Network, Media Server, MediaMonkey Windows, displays, for example,
FLAC 44.1kHz/16bit 966kps
something I really like. I think that the song is being sent in its original format, whereas with Chromecast I can't tell if there is downgrading of audio or not.
If a local flac file on the android device is Chromcasted by MMA to the DN1080, is it being received as a flac file or is it something else ? Is the sound quality being decreased ?
