I sent a LOG by PM. (The notification after Submitting the message said "sent". But the message is listed in the Outbox. Receiving has to be confirmed yet.)

Thank you for testing. You were right: They were probably not downloaded correctly or renamed, while downloaded. Before reporting, I requested an update on all the podcast feeds, but that did not change the display.
  • I deleted the episodes (the files only)
  • Then they immediately appeared in the list with full description (and ready to be downloaded)
  • When downloaded newly, the display included Title, Date and Description
This way I had to edit 5 feeds (2 Czech and 3 U.S.).

I consider it solved, unless the issue appears again.

***********************
When removing the episodes, I encountered a different issue:
  1. When removing the first episode, a pop-up window appeared and offered two option to remove (file vs file and library item). I chose one and proceeded.
  2. When removing the second episode, no pop-up appeared, only the window went dark/shadow.
  3. I did know what to do, so I restarted MM5 and it did help: the pop-up appeared on "remove" request -- but on the second monitor, where the main window had been previously. And this was the other monitor, not the one where the main windows has been situated. The "remove" pop-up could be hidden under the main window, in item 2.
  4. Because I had to proceed with removing of the episodes and I§m curious, I moved the MM5 window back to the second monitor and indeed the "remove" option did not appeared there.
When trying to reproduce the situation newly, I always get a "remove" pop-up on the window, where the larger part of the main window is situated. This is different to encountered item 3. Well, the issue does not persist, so we can abandon it. I wanted to jot it down, before I forget the behavior.

I have just tested with the same podcast feed and I cannot replicate the issue, see:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hm8bc4xpfa5f9 ... 6.png?dl=0

Could you try whether you can still replicate with the same latest episodes as are on my screengrab?
Also while trying this please have DbgView running (started before MM5) and if the issue persists then save the ouput from the DbgView and share with me, thanks!

EDIT: Watching your screenshot and the feed: https://api.rozhlas.cz/data/v2/podcast/show/6482952.rss
The episodes from 7th and 8 th of December are no longer presented in the feed! So you were probably testing this while they just got removed from the feed at the same time resulting in this issue?

Podcast changed display format -- intended change? [#16186]

Dear devs,
dear Ludek,

the podcast display changed format in build 2218, or previous(?):

previously (two lines, <placeholder>):

Code: Select all

<title> (<pubDate>)
<summary>
currently (a single line):

Code: Select all

<title>
A screenshot with both formats: https://send.firefox.com/download/943fb ... hjKxWvXGtQ (100 downloads/7days)

I do not see any change in the RSS format for a feed. As an example of RSS feed: https://api.rozhlas.cz/data/v2/podcast/show/6482952.rss

Some RSS feeds works OK (no change in display), but some feeds do not show up anything (no <title>) for newly downloaded episodes, such as https://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510298

If the upper does not help and you wish, I can create a list of RSS feeds paired with screenshots to analyze.
