Re: Auto Playlist help
One last throw of the dice, put the mutual "not in the other playlist" criteria first. Perfect, no overlap at all. As far as I can tell all other criteria are also being processed properly now too. Given that's the only change I made autoplaylists are clearly sensitive to the order of the criteria ...

Re: Auto Playlist help
Just gave this a try Matt. Still have an overlap but much reduced to around 15-20 rather than the full 200 I got on earlier attempt.
That's manageable so I'll stick with it, though I'm still mystified as to why there should be any overlap.
Thanks, Mike

Re: Auto Playlist help
Thanks for getting back to me guys. I do take the point about using random but it's important to the way I play music. I guess it depends on exactly when MM resolves the criteria in each and every playlist. Not sure why you can't see the 2nd playlist but it shows #Phone criteria are identical to the ...

Auto Playlist help
Hi, can you help me with how Auto Playlist logic works please? For example, I have 2 playlists #Hifi and #Phone that I want to each have a different set of 200 songs. I've put in criteria that make sense to me but am getting exactly the opposite result, i.e. they are both selecting the same 200 ...

Re: Volume levelling
Hifi Cast is playing from MMW, casting to Wiim. I've tried MMA casting to Wiim with local files and playing from MMW and in neither case is it normalising volume.

Re: Volume levelling
Casting works in all cases but I can only get volume normalisation when using Hifi Cast. I have volume levelling set in MMW and MMA and these work playing wired or Bluetooth but not when casting. If Hifi Cast can do it, it must be technically possible for MM too and I'm wondering if that is in the ...

Volume levelling doesn't work when casting [#104380]
Hi, my music is largely Flac, volume analysed by MMW. Volume levelling works fine on MMW and MMA playing to wired speakers and via Bluetooth. I've recently put in a Wiim pro to cast to by wifi and can't find a way to volume level using MM. I'm now using Hifi Cast to access my music in MMW and ...

Playing to a streamer
Apologies, I know there are many posts on this already and I've read them all but would appreciate a brief confirmation of how I think it works before I part with my money on a streamer. I'm planning to play directly from MM on my PC through powerline adapters connected by ethernet to the PC at one ...

Re: [REQ] Start Time / Stop Time and Syncing
I too would really like MMA to support start and stop times. I use these to eliminate chat between tracks on live albums. Also in a few cases to split tracks that are ripped as a single track but actually contain 2-3 songs, usually separated by silence.

Re: Disaster with volume levelling?
That's correct, original tracks in iTunes are mostly Alac. Starting over isn't an attractive option as I had a lot of tidy up to do on the original conversion to get to where I am now. Re-ripping hundreds of CDs would take a long time so I was interested in your suggestion to overwrite the MM volume ...

Re: Disaster with volume levelling?
That's an interesting suggestion. My iTunes files are in folders by artist and album but I didn't specifiy that in MM when I imported and iTunes files are named differently from MM files (iTunes files have track # in the filename) so my first thought is that could get messy. Would it work if I re ...

Re: Disaster with volume levelling?
That's reassuring, thanks! If I do decide to recover, I know I can replace the volume levelled files while retaining playcounts, playlists etc. by re-ripping the cds but that would be a long process. Is there an equivalent way of replacing the files while retaining playcounts, playlists etc. if I re ...
