MM5 clipping - is it my sound card?
Hi all I have an *old* laptop (HP Pavilion, about 10 years old - wasn't high spec when I bought it. Running Windows 10) that I use solely to play music through powered speakers in my kitchen. I'm using a cheap Behringer UCA222 sound card and I'm not expecting high quality - just good enough for me ...

Re: [REQ] Sorting by album rating
Thanks, I thought that was the case.
A 'nice to have', nevertheless.

Re: Question about volume tags
So... I copied an existing file from my MM5 library. Changed all the tags in the new copy - title, artist, album, etc., deleted the album art, and also deleted the volume tags as above. Imported the modified file into MM5 - and it has the same volume tags as the original. So *somewhere* MM5 is ...

Virtual albums?
Hi
Is there any way (other than playlists) to create 'virtual' albums? I'd like to create 'Best of' albums for several of my artists but preferably without duplicating the actual MP3 files and giving them different album tags.
Thx

[REQ] Sorting by album rating
Background: One of my nodes in MM5 is the default 'Albums' node, and the view is set to 'Grid - by album'. This shows all my albums as thumbnails, and beneath each thumbnail is the album title, the album artist, and a rating (number of stars). This rating appears to be an automatically calculated ...

Re: Question about volume tags
Hi Lowlander - thanks, but I'm not sure that your reply answers my question. Your link lists the tags that are supported, the ones that I'm referring to are on that list and the capitalisation is correct. Also, I have had a lifetime Gold licence since version 3.x, I see that this is this valid for ...

Question about volume tags
Hi - I'm (still) trying to understand how volume levelling works. As an experiment, I took three tracks with wildly different track volumes (after running MM5 'Analyze Volume') and made copies of them, then opened the copies in MP3tag and removed the values shown in the REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN ...

Re: Album volume analysis requires all files in the same folder
Build 5.05.2695.
I'm looking at Files to Edit > Unanalyzed Volume. Select all files in an album and then Tools > Analyze volume.

Album volume analysis requires all files in the same folder
Hi - not sure if this is a 'bug' but it's a minor annoyance (to me). My music files are divided into two root folders (one for 'favourite' music, which I sync with multiple protable devices, and one for 'not favourite' music, which I don't sync), each with the same folder structure underneath - i.e ...

Re: MMW > MMA sync options...?
(updated - I found the answer, it's in the 'tagging' section of the sync profile!)
Thank you - that's half the problem solved. What about the album art, is there a way to stop the albumart.jpg files being created? They're not in the source folders.

MMW > MMA sync options...?
Hi I'm using MMA to sync wirelessly with MM5 Gold. It all works well (after some initial problems) but I have a question about whether it is possible to change the way that MP3 files are stored on my Android. By default, files are synced to (root folder)\Artist\Album , and the album folders all ...

Sync syntax help please
Hi I want to sync a selection of my music to an SSD. My music collection is in D:\Music, with subfolders for each artist. I want the same structure on the SSD - i.e. <disk>\Music\Artist. I have selected some playlists to sync, also all the files that have a custom tag 'classic album'. I set the sync ...

JustListAlbums report for MMW5?
Hi - it's a long time since I used it, but I have an old addon called 'JustListAlbums21' in an archived backup. I tried to install it but it says it's only for MM4. Is there an equivalent for MM5? I don't see *any* reports in the Addon categories for MM5...?

Ctrl+Alt+P Properties shortcut shows incorrect info in 'List by album' view
Hi - weird one but 100% reproducible. I have 'List by albums' as one of my main views. If I click on an album and select Properties from the right-click menu, the correct information is shown. But if I click on an album and press Ctrl+Alt+P to bring up the Properties dialog, it shows the wrong ...
