Re: Latest update 4.1.31.1919 deleted my tree collection settings
What was happening was that the installer did not like the location that I directed it to which was :C\Program\Program Files x86\MediaMonkey. It insisted that it should be :C\Program Files x86\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey which is why it simply created a new MediaMonkey Program within the older version p...

Re: Latest update 4.1.31.1919 deleted my tree collection settings
Hi Lowlander,
What the update did was to open a new folder "MediaMonkey" , a brand new clean installation within the existing MM Portable folder instead of just update the proram.

Re: Latest update 4.1.31.1919 deleted my tree collection settings
Hi Lowlander, Let me give you a better picture. I use 3 Music Players and to make backup easier (I use Syncback free) they are all in a folder "Musicplayers" in C:/Program Files x86. When I did the update I did not pay attention to the MM setup location query, I just clicked OK and MM portable was i...

Re: Latest update 4.1.31.1919 deleted my tree collection settings
Hi Lowlander, My tree under say Classical Music or Music consists of just 6 items - location, artist, composer, album, genre, files to edit. After the update there were more than twice as many options. I use genre as the condition to be included under the criteria tab for classical music and I use m...

Latest update 4.1.31.1919 deleted my tree collection settings
This update either deleted or ignores all my collection and tree settings meaning that MM needs to be set-up virtually from scratch. My collection is mainly Classical and this means spending a lot of time doing it. I have a good back-up routine and could simply delete the new install and copy and pa...

Re: MMPortable and .ini & .DB file location
Thanks Lowlander, I now have it installed but it needed registry cleaning, deleting ALL MM files wherever "Everything" could find them but keeping only copies of the DB, ini and other settings files. This took some time but even now the portable install creates MM folders in the AppData Local and Ro...

MMPortable and .ini & .DB file location
Hi, I often see the advice given in this Forum to simplify life and use the Portable installation and assumed that the .ini ,& .DB and Metadata files will be located in the same folder as the program and other files. I definately ticked the Portable Box when I did my Portable install but I find my ....

Quick delete of 100+ playlists
I have 100+ items (playlists) and want to permanently delete all the playlist listings, not the music, just the playlist entries. In other words I want to to have zero playlist entries listed under "Playlists" in the tree. To delete each entry individually is tedious as each delete needs a "Remove" ...

Where to find Magic Nodes?
I am having a problem with delayed loading due to the Magic Nodes script. This forum has some topics on this subject and the answer seems to be a donation only fix for the script. The links for Magic Nodes in this section are ALL out of date as is the MediaMonkey.com/scripts.htm page. Only by Googli...

Re: After updating Gold License issues
Please delete this post, after all the advice about copying and pasting I tried it the old-fashioned way, manually typing in the detail and yes, it works! Sometimes Old Fashioned is good!

After updating Gold License issues
I purchased a lifetime gold license on 24 Nov 2011 and have all the paperwork. After an update my version reverted to "Standard Edition - Unlicensed. I have followed all the information I could find and copied and pasted both the username and License Key but to no avail - the system completely rejec...

Add Collapse Tree shortcut to Toolbar
The most frequently used shortcut on the Toolbar for me is "Collapse the Tree" By right clicking on the toolbar I get to "Configure" and then selecting "Shortcuts" brings up all the options including "Collapse the Tree" but I cannot work out how to add it too the Toolbar. Opening the Shortcuts tree ...
