Sorry for the delay getting back to you. I couldn't find any way to attach a file to a post. What is your email.

Switching From MediaMonkey 4 To 5

I just tried posting this but it seem to have got lost. I installed 2152. It says it imported 2818 files. Thats a few LESS than before (2836). The log file still contains messages that it skipped .FLV and .VOB files. It also skipped at least two .WAV files it says are too short. When viewing the err...

Re: Switching From MediaMonkey 4 To 5

I reinstalled MM. When it starts for the first time, it starts with asking for file locations. When I installed MM the first time, I think I just hit Next. If I add a location for drive F; it finds and scans the files. BUT The log file contains several messages that it did not import .FLV files or ....

Switching From MediaMonkey 4 To 5 [#15398]

The destination computer has no MM on it before installing MM5, just the folder containing the music files and the folder containing the MM data base. I will try modifying the .INI file. I recall I also had to move the .INI folder to make it work for all users. Is that still the same ? I will try ou...

Re: Switching From MediaMonkey 4 To 5

Hi all. I am also trying to get my music files from MM4 on one PC to MM5 on a different PC. My MM4 was configured (by adding a line to the MM4 .INI file) to store the data base on a different drive (F:). Now when I install MM5, it has no clue where to find the data base :-( As far as I can see there...

Editing of Tag Info

Thanks for the Magic Nodes info. I installed it and it seems to work good. My note about direct editing of tags was related to errors I have seen with some track lengths. A song might be 4:12 long and play fine but MM shows a track length of 5:12. If I go to Track Properties > Details I can display ...

Viewing A Large Number of Artists

I would like to see A-Z subfolders for grouping large numbers of artists. Is there some way to do it in the current version ?

Other ideas for new MM versions:
- direct editing of all tag info
- analysis / error checking of files (ie incorrect time or file size, etc)

Over all it's a great program.
