After another round of iTunes and IOS updates, my iPod Touch has stopped syncing properly with MediaMonkey again. Audiobooks don't appear at all. Albums appear with their album art and track listing but all but the first track are greyed out and unplayable. I am running iOS 11.3, iTunes 12.7.4.80 ...
Well, discovering my idiocy has fixed the problem of syncing and doing a reset and full sync seems to have fixed the jumbled album listings - result. :D I think I'm going to keep fixing the mixed up tracks on the other iPod as I come across them - at least until I can thoroughly test whether iOS 9 ...
Oh FFS - I've just discovered why it wasn't syncing - none of the boxes in sync settings for that iPod were ticked! What an idiot I was not to spot that!
Just doing a full sync so will see how that works out with the alphabetical sorting!
OK - I've just installed the latest version of MM and done a complete wipe and refresh of the 2015 iPod and it still won't run a sync (it just says "preparing a list of files" for a couple of seconds and then stops). So now I'm going to have to add all my music back on manually! :( (I don't want to ...
Is there a way of doing that without using iTunes because that will install the latest version of iOS which may bring its own issues with both MM and with my in-car media system?
I have 2 iPod Touches - one 2015 model running iOS 8.4 and the other (fifth generation) running iOS 8.3 and I am having constant issues managing my MM library on them. The one running iOS 8.4 won't do a full sync of my library (it just starts up and stops a few seconds later) so I have to send ...
I have both iOS 8.4.1 and beta build 1754 and it hasn't helped with my sync problem. I dare not even open iTunes with my iPod connected because, even with autosync turned off there, it immediately wipes all my artwork and the only way I can put it back is by re-adding albums one at a time.
Well, I copied all my stuff on to my iPod yet again and all the music and artwork has transferred correctly (it still won't sync, though - I can only copy manually). The alphabetical sorting of albums, songs and artists is a right mess, though. This is seriously naffing me off - I realise it's not ...
I have a compilation album which I bought from iTunes and which contains music videos for all the songs. Previously, this album has scanned into MM and appeared in my library as a music album. However, today, because of a problem with artwork on my new iPod, I had to remove it from my player and ...
OK - after installing the new beta build of MM and the latest version of iTunes, and re-adding all my albums one by one, I now have my artwork back. However, in trying to restore the artwork to one iTunes album by removing it from the iPod and the library and trying to rescan it from my iTunes ...
I spoke too soon about sending music to my iPod an album at a time working fine - all my album art has disappeared, apart from albums originally bought from iTunes!
I've just bought a new generation 128GB iPod Touch which has iOS 8.4 on it. I have had to resort to sending my music collection to it an album at a time because I cannot get MM (latest beta build) to do a full sync. When I try to do a full sync, it just says "Preparing a list of files..." for about ...
I've got a support ticket open but I thought it was worth noting that it's now over 4 months since I was last able to sync music to my iPod. Even the latest beta build hasn't fixed the problem for me. The support staff are being great but this is now immensely frustrating.
