I used to use the Backup MM Tracks script to do this, but unfortunately it's no longer available. I could look at doing it, but I think it may have to be a different script. This script does a full backup of the files, whereas with the tracks you would probably want to do an incremental backup ...

Make sure you are using the latest version of MM
Versions earlier than 2.5 do not support the latest generation iPod.

MediaMonkey does not support M4P files
The problem you are facing is caused by MM's not supporting this file type. This is mainly because iTunes uses DRM software to prevent music piracy.
The easiest workaround is to burn these songs to a CD and then convert the CD to MP3 files, which can be recognized by MM.
