Well I downgraded to 10.1.2.17 from 10.2 and now my iPad v4.2.1 is recognized by MM 3.2.4
Now that I have my entire OS backed up I can experiment by upgrading again to 10.2.
I will give an update when I have results.

Re: iPhone 4 not detected!
Anyone have an update on this thread? My iPad (v4.2.1) is not recognized by a fresh install of MM (v3.2.4). I just updated itunes to 10.2.0.34 but I forgot to check if MM recognized the iPad when I had iTune 10.1 installed. I tried replacing d_iPhone.dll with the one from the link to no avail. I did ...

Re: How to get ringtones onto iPhone without syncing iTunes
Well my 2nd suggestion in my last post is working so far,
but I am curious to know where the exclude folder is and how to get to it just in case.
I already have the iphone explorer you recommended.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to get ringtones onto iPhone without syncing iTunes
After one day of using the technique of dragging ringtones to my iPhone icon, I have discovered that this does not work since the ringtones get deleted after a few syncs from MM. I am now trying another suggestion from that forum. 2nd suggestion: 1) Make sure there is no excess information in the ...

Re: How to get ringtones onto the iPhone without iTunes?
I found the solution on the following website and it worked for me. I was also able to copy ringtones as long as 38 seconds. Here is the link and the solution below: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=417845 1) Import/Add your m4r files to the iTunes Library. 2) Drag to iPhone ICON not to ...

Re: How to get ringtones onto the iPhone without iTunes?
Ok, it appears I was using a "Iphone Explorer" by a different developer. The one I was using was from www.iphone-explorer.com. Nevertheless, yours seem to be more versatile and after a few twinkering I am up to speed with it. (Thanks very much) However I do have a few issues. 1) My existing ...

Re: How to get ringtones onto the iPhone without iTunes?
Yeh I tried that and it works for everything but ringtones. I see folders for Downloads, Photos, Podcasts, Purchases, Recordings and Safari.... but none for ringtones. So I don't think it would be a solution for ringtone transfer. Update: Today I downloaded iTunes 9.1 and now iPhone Explorer does ...

Re: Getting Ringtones onto iPhone w/o MM after sync
I feel your pain. Have you resolved this issue as yet? If so, please let me know. I had everything working fine until I decided to update and add more ringtones to my phone. Steps taken: 1. Select "sync all ringtones" checkbox from iTunes. 2. Deselect "sync ringtones" checkbox after syncing. 3. What ...

Re: How do I backup Auto Playlists ?
Thank you nohitter151. Trixmoto's script was a bit rudementary but it did the job. The only thing that it did not do was backup sub-playlists. That would be auto-playlists that I created normally and then dragged into another playlists heading. What I want to know now is the name and location of teh ...

Hi moonglow, Did you follow every step to a tee from nohitter151's link above? http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.p ... _ipod_sync Make sure that in the MM options the "sync tracks to:" field is <Artist> - <Title> otherwise this could corrupt or delete the format in which the tracks are being ...

How do I backup Auto Playlists ?
I know I can export playlists and they save as regular playlists, but how do I backup an Auto Playlist so that I can restore them without re-doing them?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
