thanks for the lead. That worked out perfect!!! I wish I new how to get my magic node in the menu header over the node trees, but I'm happy with the solution!
Thanks!

Any way to reconfigure the Genre Node, so Album show
right now, if I click the Genre Node, I get all the artist listed out by that genre, I would rather have albums lists first and then artist (flip flopped currently).
Is this possible and how?

UPDATE and even more of a plea for UPnP MM media development
Okay, Nero has something that almost gets the job done, but is slower than...I don't know what, and then Media Player has a media server that can't play albums, only one track at a time.

Netgear MP 101 uses UPnP
and I have to agree the server that comes with the product is shameful. Netgear really does need to rethink their server...however, I would definitely be willing to pay for a plugin designed by MM for MM to act as a UPnP server. Hope someday this becomes a reality with MM, until then we MP 101 users ...

TIA!!!! Now, how to correct the mess
Had a pot of coffee last night and some ambition. Is there any way to have MM clean just the album tags I've polluted by manually appending the Album Artist? Would hate to spend the night going over each file trying to find the ones I've touched. Also submitted the question to Netgear. Hopefully ...

TIA - This is reallllly helpful
how about as a playlist. Will MM allow me to create a playlist with the album artist - Album that I'm looking for. This would let me keep my tags "clean" and also give me that alternative view pathway?????

I know it goes against what you would expect
but at this point, Netgear's media server combinds all albums with the same name, so you get a mish mash of greatest hits for five different albums. And to be honest, once you get up to 1800+ albums, looking at the album names in the MP101 is very confusing because you only see the album name. The ...

Would this also work for Batch album name changes?
TIA to all of the great people on this board!! I have a related type of problem. Also being a Creative user and a Netgear Media Service user I also have some potentially strange tagging needs. To really make album organization easy and meaningful in these two apps (at least from my perspective), you ...

Using the script as a shell?
Hey Trixmoto, thank you for replying. Are these VB scripts? I think I know just enough VB to be really dangerous...if this is VB do you think your album art script would be a good shell for me to start trying to tweak the code to do what I want...am I just barking up the wrong tree? Do you have any ...

is this tweakable to do a batch album name change?
Trixmoto, I have the same type of problem. I have partially loaded 200 gb's of my music colletion into MP3 format. I'm running the collection wirelessly over Netgear's MP 101 music servers. Is there some way to tweak this script to go in and do a batch update from Amazon.com of the album name ...
