Editing Tags

If I have a few minor corrections to tags, it seems that the easiest method is to select tracks in the library window. How do these changes get into the actual music files?

I would doubt this as this probably involves DLNA which has limited tag support.
Can you provide a brief description of what MM Android Player will do?

Re: MM Android Player

Will MMA allow me to view the MM database on my tablet? While listening to my music on Sonos, using a tablet as a controller, I would like to be able to open MMA to view tags such as involved people (supporting artists).

Re: Looking For Utility to Set Tags

I use MM to tag via the Properties window. I noticed recently that there are many data fields in the MM column list that do not appear in the Properties window. What is the thinking behind this?

Re: Just List Albums 1.8 - Updated 27/02/2011

I am running Just List Albums to create a report that lists Artist, Album Artist, Rating and Genre. I would like to add <Classiification 5> but I can't figure out how to edit vbs Options Explicit FirstMask= to make this happen.

Re: Just List Albums 1.8 - Updated 27/02/2011

Well the script isn't really designed to create CSV files, but as this is something that a lot of people seem to be doing, I'll try and get this resolved in the next version. Thank you. I neglected to mention that I was saving the text file as a csv, opening it in Excel, and copy/pasting to a pre-f...

Re: Just List Albums 1.8 - Updated 27/02/2011

I am producing great reports with this add-on. Thanks so much. There is one minor glitch that maybe someone can help with. My genre field in MM looks like this: W.Coast; Combo; Jazz Just List Albums produces: Combo, Jazz, W.Coast in one column. Semi-colons are replaced with commas, which is OK. Genr...

Error Ripping

I am getting the following error message on at least one track of every album I rip: Error ripping track ##. Track ## failed to verify (ripped inaccurately). I am using MM version 4.0.6 I previously ripped 100 classical albums using the previous version of MM. Errors were so few I can't recall them....

Re: RegExp Find & Replace 4.3 w/ 253 presets (2011-07-06) [M

Updating my previous post re ripping errors, I have progressed to the point where I understandy broadly how to use RegExp and my question now is are wild card supported? Specifically a wild card for any text string. OK, problem solved. I discovered the Remove the begin of <Into Field> before (and in...

Re: RegExp Find & Replace 4.3 w/ 253 presets (2011-07-06) [M

My classical Album tags are in the form: Beethoven - Violin Concerto in D Major op.61 - Kyung Wha Chung - Kondrashin - Vienna PO Character limitations on my Sonos Control index screens result in cutting off everything after Concerto, although the Now Playing screen, which scrolls, displays the entir...

Re: Artist is also sorting by Album Artist

Problem solved. A typo omitted a space after a comma in some instances, resulting in a different sort.

Re: Artist is also sorting by Album Artist

I am not really getting this string but it seems to be related to my problem. Is there a way to sort by artist (primary) and album (secondary) so the list is sorted by artist and the albums for each artist are sorted alphabetically? My artists are tagged last name first. I accomplished the sort I wa...

Re: Collections - Show Albums Only?

I understand, but the criteria appear to be drop-down menu choices.

Collection Name: Blues
Search Criteria:
Property: Genre (menu selection)
Condition: equals (menu selection)
Value: Blues (result)

So what do I enter and where?

Re: Collections - Show Albums Only?

I don't understand. The criteria for creating a collection are determined by menu choices.

Re: Collection Tabs Question

I found a partial answer. When you select a tab, a drop-down menu arrow appears that duplicates the list in each music node in the media tree, so you can hide the media tree and only show it when you need access to other nodes.
