Re: Track name

Have you checked whether your car radio has an app that can be used to organize files? Kenwood has one because I use it and I believe that others do too.

Re: Messed up my library with Auto Organise

Do you mean you have over-written the album name in the properties for each track or just that you have obliterated the folders which were the album name? The latter is fairly easily recoverable.

Re: Although successfully uploaded to Recently Added music doesn't show up in Now Playing list.

I am not sure what you are doing, but you have to add the files to Now Playing after they have been scanned. And add just the files you want to play, of course.

Google Chromecast Audio

One of the points you make in what's better about MM5 is that it will play to Chromecast devices. But as a rather long list of messages here would indicate, this often isn't so. And it's not so in my case. A video chromecast does show up in the list of cast devices, not any of the three audio chrome...

Re: GETTING CD INFO

Why can't I use another (or a few) cd info databases? I only have the option to use freedb, which can be spotty (and yes, these are commercial releases that iTunes has no problem identifying). W dbpoweramp offers a choice of metadata from various providers for each cd (assuming the provider actuall...

Re: Transfer from YTMusic

I believe your purchased music on Google Play remains on the cloud unless you specifically download it. Here is a Google explanation of downloading - it isn't recent and so may not apply to the end of GPM, but may give you some help: https://support.google.com/googleplaymusic/answer/1250232 In short...

Re: Sorting by disc number?

I'm using it to keep a box set sorted in order. So most albums in the box set will be a single disc, some may be two or three discs. Each album will have it's own name, cover art, album artist, etc. In iTunes when I do that, and create a playlist which I sort only by disc# then track#, I get a play...

Re: File List Export Error

It is not a script. Go to the File menu then choose Create Reports. Forget scripts. It is not a script. And if you insist on using a script you need to contact the developer of the script; use the Add-ons section of the Forum. Yeah, for some reason I don't have those options. Here is what is contain...

What you say you see under File > Create Reports isn't what I see nor what I have ever seen. This is what that set of steps shows on my MM4 Just List Albums... Statistics File List (HTML)... File List (XML)... File List (CSV)... File List (Excel)... Custom Report... Custom Report Auto... I have been...

Re: Easiest way to join audio files ?

Get the extension script Linked Tracks. It does not join the several tracks into one. Instead Linked Tracks sends all the linked tracks in order to Now Playing when any one of the tracks is selected to play. But it is only available in MM4; it doesn't work in MM5. You'll find it here https://www.med...

Re: Incorrect handling of multi-disc albums

Unless something is wrong with Landlord's system there should be no need for special playlists or workarounds to get multiple disc albums to play properly. And, for me there isn't. I have many multi-disc albums. For everyone that I tried (I don't have all day to do this and didn't try them all) when...

Re: Weird track numbers

My trials suggest that disc number isn't a problem in MMA. Here's what I found (all albums by Thelonious Monk) At the It Club (2 disc album). Disc numbers 1 & 2 used for all tracks as appropriate. After sync to MMA, in the list for the album all tracks have correct numbers (i.e., 1., 2., 3., etc.) w...

Re: Android Genres don't work in classical music

I would hope that it is being more than just "looked at"; it should be a requirement. How can you have a music player missing such a basic function? Other programs - I have Poweramp and GoneMAD - handle genres for classical albums just fine; even the freebie Google Play Music does so. As far as I ca...

A semi-colon - ; - is the standard delimiter in all fields in the MP3 system which MM uses.
