Does MM use the "DRM Protected Content" process automatically?

I don't have any DRM content on my device.

I went to open MM8 and was told it was not available (on my machine) and it doesn't seem to be available in the Store anymore.

Just checked and no, the stock player doesn't recognize them either.

Does MMA scan for new media upon startup?

I thought it would auto scan as well.

The playlists created with the stock player show up (these were recognized at the original startup of MMA) but not the ones done with PowerAmp.
